Promo Posters
Posted by StupidWiz.com under Stupid IdeasHave you ever encountered a promotional material saying something like “Buy 1, Take 1 - Offer lasts until [insert date here] only!” but it’s already a month or so past the “offer expiry date”?
Well, we have seen a lot of these, and here’s an example. Sorry, we’ve reformatted our storage disk and we lost the pictures.
It’s just stupid to keep promo posters posted on public areas if the promo is already over. Why waste the space on the wall/whatever if no one would benefit from the poster anymore? People are just disappointed when they see great offers, and then realize that the offer was over a week ago.
There are also billboards about certain films. What’s wrong with them? Well, some stupid people tend to forget to remove the ads. Sometimes, the ads state that “[insert film title] will be showing on April 30″, but it’s already May 25 or something! That’s just plain stupid!
Doing this like those = Waste of space, disappointment of people, and proof of stupidity. What do you think?

I suppose the expired promos are still useful for advertising, even if the original offer is expired.
Yea I agree, expired promos are stupid ideas. Well what can be done to better disappoint people? You’re right, don’t remove expired promos.
Edward > Useful for advertising yes but don’t you think ppl would be pissed off at the company once they find out that the company tolerates this? - to their reputation i think.
Yep seen a lot of them and I hate them.
@Edward: I somewhat agree with you, they can be useful for advertising but as Markwin said…
@Renn: You hate them? Do you remove them when you see them (is that allowed)?
